55+ NORTH SHORE ARTISTS OPENING THEIR STUDIOS AT LYDIA PINKHAM BUILDING, NOVEMBER 17-18, 2018
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LYNN, Mass, November 1, 2018 - More than 55 studio artists at the Lydia Pinkham Building, a North Shore creative arts enclave, will open their doors on Saturday, November 17 and Sunday November 18 for their 13th Annual Open Studios. Many of the artists, including painters, potters, clothing designers, sculptors, jewelers, and mid-century restoration experts, have received recognition on the regional and national level.
“I opened my community ceramics studio at The Lydia Pinkham Building over twelve years ago and have organized an Open Studios every year since. I’ve seen the event grow each year as we draw more and more interest from the local community and area art collectors. Last year nearly 1,500 people came to Open Studios, and I can’t wait to see the turnout this year!” said Kirsten Bassion, owner of The Clay School at the Lydia Pinkham Building.
Lynn’s reputation as a hub of arts and culture on the North Shore is increasingly recognized. The artists of the Lydia Pinkham Building have contributed to this success, and on November 17th and 18th they will open their studios and provide an inside look at the artistry and creative process driving Lynn’s renaissance.
“We are excited to show our works and have added a lineup of new interactive sessions this year,” said Kim Allison of K. Allison Ceramics. Visitors will enjoy demonstrations such as:
Pottery on the Wheel – Studio 316
Marble Making 101 / Glass - Studio 318
Frank Lloyd Wright and You – The Enduring Influence of “Starchitects” in Modern Furniture – Studio 202
Ten Little Tubes: How a Custom Bike Frame is Built – Studio 218
Print your own Linocuts - Studio 312
Wood Pen Turning - Studio 315

This event is free, with refreshments and live music. The 13th Annual Lydia Pinkham Open Studios will occur on November 17th and 18th from 10:00 to 5:00.
